About Me

Early Life & Education

Born on 3 November 1968 as Md. Shakil Ahsan in Bangladesh, Shakil Khan discovered his passion for storytelling and performance from a young age. He pursued his education with dedication, completing his Secondary (S.S.C.) and Higher Secondary (H.S.C.) studies at Potiya School & College. He later earned a B.S.S. (Bachelor of Social Science) from Rangoonia College and a Master of Arts (M.A.) from Chittagong University. This academic grounding in social sciences enriched his perspective as an artist, shaping the depth and authenticity he brought to his acting


Career Journey

Shakil Khan made his mark in Bangladeshi cinema during the late 1990s, quickly emerging as one of Dhallywood’s most prominent romantic heroes. His breakout films such as Amar Ghor Amar Behest (1997) and Biyer Phul (1998) established him as a household name. Throughout the 2000s, he delivered a series of box-office hits including Mon (2001), Koshto (2000), Sontrashi Bondhu (2000), Narir Mon (2000), and Tumi Je Amar (2000).
